Dr. Karen Wetterhahn was a brilliant tenured female professor at Dartmouth, one of the only ones and was specialized in a field that only 10-20 people in the world had credentials in. She was a powerhouse scientist pioneering the field of heavy metal science and on her way to achieving so much more, when her life was tragically and suddenly cut short from doing a routine procedure that she’s executed to perfection countless times.
